After you get the app, make sure to follow their channel and TURN ON NOTIFICATIONS so you don't miss when they go live:
My > APP Settings > Notifications > Turn on & check all

Sometimes Ateez post extra contents in the POST section so be sure to check there regularly.
In the FAN section you can chat with other fans.
GIVING HEARTS & COMMENTS
When Ateez are live, you can give them hearts by tapping the red button in the bottom right corner. You can tap continuously or press and hold to send many at once. You can also give hearts on old videos. The more hearts you give, the more your ChemiBeat will increase. You can also leave comments while they are live, sometimes they will respond to fans so please be RESPECTFUL when commenting!
Giving hearts is important because it is a criteria for Vlive Awards.
ABOUT CHEMI-BEAT
From Vlive: "Chemi-Beat is a short form of "Chemistry Beat" and shows a relationship (chemistry) between you and a celeb with the number of beats. You can see your Chemi-Beat on the channel's Home that your celeb is hosting. The level and ranking are calculated based on activities for the channel."

The Chemi-Beat count is updated daily (24 hours) after applying activities occurred yesterday based on KST. The level and ranking are calculated based on your activities and the weight is given on recent activities. So it is important not to stop doing activities in order to get a higher level and ranking. You can see your level history in last 7 days including today in Level History. In the future, special benefits may be offered to followers at higher levels.

VLIVE V HEARTBEAT AWARDS
This is an award given towards the end of the year. Top 10 Groups and Top 5 Rookie Groups will be chosen, and among all the groups, one winner will be chosen as "Best Artist of the Year" via fan pre-voting. The winning criteria is based on cumulative number of Views, Comments, Hearts, and Replays during a certain time period. There is a ceremony and physical award. Groups with a stronger fanbase will have an advantage. This is why engagement on Ateez Vlive throughout the year is important! Example criteria from 2019:
